Dennis Hopper Day
was first proclaimed by the
30th Governor of New Mexico,
Bill Richardson on May 17, 2010.
In 2014 Taos Pueblo recognized May 17th
as Dennis Hopper Day annually. A proclamation
of the people of Taos County and of the
Town of Taos proclaimed May 17th to be
hereto annually know as, Dennis Hopper Day
and designated a street “Hopper Highway”
after the counter-culture icon.

Old Martina’s Hall, Ranchos de Taos Plaza.
The Post Ride Buffalo BBQ & Concert
begins at 5pm at Taos Mesa Brewing.

Celebrating the Art of Rebel Film Making
with four Hopper movie classics at the
Taos Center for the Arts.
Showtimes 7pm May 15 – 18.
At 9am May 15 – 17,
Day trippers can enjoy the
Hopper Wild Whitewater Rafting Trip
with Los Rios River Runners down the
Rio Grande to the Stagecoach Hot Springs
made famous in “Easy Rider”.
